1. Information We Collect

  • Personal Information: Email address, name, and profile picture (obtained via Google Sign-In).
  • Resume Data: Text and files uploaded by you.
  • Job Data: Job descriptions and URLs captured via our Chrome Extension from LinkedIn and Indeed job pages.
  • Application Data: Job match scores, AI-generated cover letters, interview answers, candidate profile details (skills, work experience, education), and application tracking status.
  • Payment Data: Handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
  • Usage Data: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as pages visited, device type, browser type, and approximate location. Google Analytics may also collect your IP address.

2. How We Use and Process Your Data

AI Processing: Your resume and job descriptions are sent to OpenAI for analysis via their API. Per OpenAI's enterprise API data usage policy, data submitted through the API is not used to train their models. We do not use your personal career history to train any internal or third-party AI models.

File Storage: We store your uploaded resumes in Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 buckets using industry-standard encryption.

Database Storage: Your account information, candidate profile, job analyses, cover letters, application tracking data, and usage statistics are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on our servers.

Authentication: We use Google OAuth for sign-in. We receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not access any other Google account data.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

To run TryGoNo, we share specific data with the following providers. We do not sell your personal data to third parties or advertisers.

  • OpenAI — Processes text from the Resume/JD and similar document provided by you for analysis, cover letter and content generation.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): Provides secure cloud storage (S3) for uploaded files and hosting for our PostgreSQL database.
  • Stripe: Handles all payment processing. We do not store or see your credit card details.
  • Google OAuth — Manage secure sign-in and authentication.
  • Google Analytics — Collects anonymous website usage data to help us improve the user experience.

4. Chrome Extension

Our Chrome Extension requests the following permissions:

  • Active Tab & Scripting: Used to read job description content from the current LinkedIn, Indeed or other job page you are viewing.
  • Storage: Used to store your authentication token locally so you stay signed in.
  • Side Panel & Tabs: Used to display analysis results alongside job listings.
  • Data Commitment: The TryGoNo extension does not collect your browsing history, monitor other tabs, or access data outside of LinkedIn and Indeed job pages. We do not sell, trade, or rent any data collected via the extension to third parties.

The extension only activates on LinkedIn, Indeed job pages. You can activate extension manually at other jobs description page as needed. It does not collect browsing history, monitor other tabs, or access any data outside of job listing pages.

5. Cookies & Tracking

  • Session Cookies: We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and maintain your session. These are required for the service to function.
  • Analytics Cookies: Google Analytics sets cookies to collect anonymous usage data (e.g., pages visited, session duration). You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. Data Security

We implement technical measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encryption at Rest: Files in S3 are encrypted.
  • Encryption in Transit: All data sent to our servers or third-party APIs is sent via HTTPS.
  • Access Control: Your resumes are private and only accessible via your authenticated account.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information and uploaded resumes for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services.

  • Account Deletion: If you choose to delete your account, all associated resumes, job analyses, and personal data will be permanently purged from our AWS S3 buckets and PostgreSQL database within 30 days.
  • Inactivity: We reserve the right to delete data from accounts that have been inactive for more than 12 months, following a notification to your registered email address.

8. User Rights and Data Deletion

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. You can delete individual resumes or your entire account from the dashboard. Once deleted, your files are permanently removed from our S3 buckets and cannot be recovered.
